It happened around 10:45 on Sunday morning after one of my personal best sets behind a boat in a few years (which would have probably put me in 5th out of 6 riders in a beginner tournament) I declared that the Team Widebody is the best new boat out on the market. Have I tried all the new boats on the market for this year? No. Is it fair to say that there might be some bias as the award is being presented (mentally and in writing, no actual trophy) by the admin of MBBoatOwners.com? YES! But what do I care? I mean, I have yet to ride the new Malibus or the X35/X55 or X14V or Axis or any of the other new boats out there but that didn't stop my brain from delivering the award to the Widebody that Sunday morning.
Seriously, who else gets so much space out of a 21 ft boat, can throw down ridiculous wakes STOCK (add 400 - 500 in the nose to make it even better), has an insanely solid tower, top notch interior, killer sound system... and on and on. That Sunday morning I was also riding with some friends (who do own very popular boats from very popular brands... and new models) whom, upon hearing my revelation also agreed. "That wake is mackin'", "If I hadn't bought my XXXXX last year, I'd be all over this boat", "Seriously, I can't find one thing wrong with this boat", "This is the best wake I've ever ridden" were some of the comments heard that day. It truly has it all. So, it's official. The best new boat (and the best overall 21 ft boat) on the market is the MB Sports B52V Team Widebody. You heard it here folks.
