Bill Smeltzer
Mxvet..the pocket was easily 10-12 ft behind transom. We were surfing at 10.7 and the trim tab was all the way up

Shawndoggy
even though your plate is "up" I am becoming more and more convinced that it has a collateral impact of knocking down some rooster tail from the prop that ends up on the wave face. My wave with similar weight on the same hull is NEVER that clean... always some "sprinkles" of water on the wave face, which are clearly coming from the prop (you can see it under the swim deck while surfing)
Bill Smeltzer
Shawn I thinkin you are probably correct. I read alot of reviews and ordered mine with the plate just for that. I haven't surfed one without so I can't verify it but I am betting its true.
The Donfather
That is what our surf wave looks like also. I usually have 4-5 people sitting on port side. Port side stock tank full. Starrboard tank empty. I put and fill a 750 fat sack in port side rear locker. Tab all the way up.
Bill Smeltzer
I will get some good gopro footage next time out. The wave was a good 4 ft tall and about 10-12 ft back at least(maybe a little more) The Donfather
