rdrobinson11
I have a 2007 B52 23v and last trip out i went to fill my ballast and the right side was making a louder noise than normal and was not filling. You could hear air being sucked through the side where the empty port is. I also noticed that during the trip the left side would fill by itself (leak by) overnight while at the docks. Both had ballast plugs in. I dont know if this is a priming issue or if its a bad motor/impeller of pump. Please help!
WakeDirt
sounds like an impeller, what pumps do you have? If you have the SCC pumps and you need a new impeller go to bakes http://www.bakesonline.com/detail.aspx?ID=2159 rdrobinson11

Smokinjo
Do you have the green impellers? Also check your check valves on the side of the pump where it exits the boat. If the valve has gone bad, you will be sucking air when trying to get water. Easy way to verify bad valve is to pick up a couple of those rubber corks from lowes and plug the holes on the back of the boat where the water gets pumped out. If it fills fine when they are plugged, you have either an air leak in the hose or a bad check valve.
jaed
To me this really sounds like a impeller. The fins must be gone. It is really easy to replace. Look at wakemakers.com. They sell the green impeller. They also have a video showing how to replace the impeller.
