Dear MBsports Members,

Happy Holidays to everyone.  About a month ago I posted asking for advice regarding the F24 vs the new B52.  You gave lots of great advice.  After a month of research we decided to go with the B52.  Specs attached.  We added an extra 1100lbs ballast per side.  Upgraded to a 440 due to elevation.  Can't wait to get it out on the water.  I'm sure I'll be posting more in the future.  It's nice to see an active forum where members participate and help each other out.

Cheers,

Scott

Thanks.  It was actually one of your earlier posts (with the vidoe clips) that helped the decision.  Your boat looks great and the wave is incredible!

You'll have Gen 2 which is different than ibbrown. However throw 2-800s in the locker drain 1/4 tank on non surf side, with 78% middle trim tab and its perfect.

Wakeboarding- Fill stock ballast all the way up and your good to go.

Hell ya, another UT MB to hit the water!  Great color choice!  I would look into changing your prop also to the ACME 2315 or ACME 2079 to push that weight.  When are you expecting delivery?

Scott, congrats on the boat, our orders will be on the factory floor at the same time!!  Very cool.  Nice choice on the green!  I am having 800lb bags plumbed in the back as well, little lighter then you, but should be plenty.  HAVE FUN!!

.

No, I think mike f. has a guy. He was saying MB will drill some holes for him, but then his guy will plumb it all. He talked about how he's begging MB to pre set these boats up for these installs because MB doesn't want to get into putting these bags in and covering the work. So at a minimum they are putting holes in for him.

Sweet boat!! Utah needs more MB's for sure. Wish my bags were drilled, but the Ronix bags fill so fast it's hard to match. I wish I could get the fill speed of the Ronix pumps and ease of the plumed a systems. I had ReBoats get me a 2079 as a spare but I haven't used it yet. Next year it will be on once the boat is out of storage.

At least we got some good snow for a little after Christmas surfing (fat skis or a board). Pray for snow so I can bust out the snorkel!!  :D

I believe it will be arriving sometime in March (possibly Feb but I think that's unlikley).  It's clear you all love your MB's.  I can't wait to hit the water.  Happy new year and Thanks again for all of your feedback! Scott

I'm a new MB 2015 B52 23 owner also...coming from a 09 Malibu 23 LSV.....Very interested in the weighting of the boat to get the best surf wave. Going with 750's in each corner. The tabs setting and stock ballast fill point on non surf side I would imagine is the key. Looking forward to trying this out in the spring.
