dialing in gen 2 surf wave

We ran 1100 in both rears, 650 bow sack, 400 in walkway, 400 in port bench towards rear,3/4 stock port, 1/2 stock stbd. Speed 10.5 How fast are y'all running? All advise is appreciated. We just stepped up from a Sanger V230, that we had well dialed. Every time we go out, we try something different. One thing we found for sure is that it needs some list, even with Switch. We really like the boat!

If you feel that 12 is too fast then bump it down to 11.5 or so...

See what you guys like the best!

if 12 is too fast and 11.5 is too slow, you could always try 11.75 B) JK

Jeff- that sure sounds like a lot of weight. (5500+). what other configurations have you tried?

On our test drive on a f22 we put 800 in both rear lockers center tab 1/3 down and about 11.5 mph and then slowly dumped the factory ballast on the non surf side until the wave cleaned up. Wave was great can wait to get my boat home and try it again. Let me know what you find works for you. I will be interested if the b52 setup works on the f22 since they both have the gen two tabs. We tested a few different set ups that day but a sligh list seemed to be the ticket.

We did increase speed. We tried each point between 11 and 12 Mph, liked it at 11.6. Wave was longer in length , but shorter in height. We started out with both 1100's at about 3/4 full in back lockers and 650 in bow. Stock was full on port side and 1/2 on Stbd, trim tab 1/4 down. We played with this for a while, but ended up filling the 400 under port bench. Wave is very surf able. My friend took pictures but I haven't seen them yet. Will try another set-up on Saturday, then going to Sac. Boat show on Sunday.

Regarding my advice above, I should've said I'm biased in this department.  I'm totally down with giving up a bit of height for a firm, fast wave.  much easier to get air on a smaller longer faster wave with lots of push and a nice firm lip than a slower shorter (but taller and mushier) wave.  Yes those mid thigh waves look really cool in still photos, but when it comes time to get air off of one, they are usually soft on top and don't give much pop.

Just my $.02.... spend as you'd like!

Filled mine up for first time Saturday. Definitely needs bow weight. I had zero. 800 in each corner. Full factory on surf side, emptied non surf side until surf side got nice. Middle trim .25 down.

I'm 6'8 and my 14 yr old on natural side is 6'6 for reference.
