Hello! We just ordered our 2015 MB B52 23 and have started shopping for lifts. I know the boat says it’s 4100lbs and it has a 65gal fuel tank… so full of fuel with 600lbs of people should be right at 5000lbs. It seems obvious that the 5500lb lift should be adequate but I wanted to check in with the forum to see what your feelings are on if I really would have ~500lbs of overhead with this lift.

Thank you and can’t wait to get the boat!

I have never used a lift for my boat but don't you let everyone off the boat before you lift it?

Typically yes, but at times I've had 1-2 stragglers... just trying to accommodate for 90% of how I'd use the lift.

I leave everyone in my boat while I lift so they aren't moving around and acting a fool so I can get it centered and stable so it doesn't bounce off the sides, you know how drunk people act when they see land again lol

a lift is a device you don't want catastrophic failure on.  I'd go 7500 and hydraulic.

What's the buddy's name? Which hoist did you get from them and how long have you had it? I'm actually looking at their 5500 120" hydraulic...

Is yours the yellow F21? I was out with my friends White/Blue T-22 Axis on your lake all last year... small world!

I did buy it from Jeff at Aqua... top notch guys for sure!

Duster, I know Tony... his Supra is kind of a green/tan color right?

Thanks Magicfloat!

Put a deposit on a 5500lb Hydraulic from SchneiderFab My favorite part is they said it only weighs about 300lbs, which will be great for the spring/winter!
