I have not had a hiccup in 52k, but I also have 100k warranty. It’s performance is impressive.

I find any time you try to squeeze too much power out of too little of a motor you will have reliability problems eventually.

The motors themselves are actually not too bad. its just the throttle body's and pressure sensors. Some cases the timing chains( more so on the older engines) turbo chargers all the time. exhaust manifold leaks. turbo cooler line adapters. auto transmissions. and lots of rear ends.  Ignition parts have been sketchy as well, causing misfires. Ford has made a few design updates but they still seem to come in the shop quit a bit.

Good looking truck and the performance is great for sure. With this and the lower price makes them the number 1 selling used truck in the US.

I describe like this: sounds like a minivan but pulls like a diesel. I have one in an Expedition.

Ford totally redesigned the 3.5 EcoBoost in 2017, even the block is different, and added a 10 speed transmission. You won't find a better towing gas engine. Period.

That 10 speed is sweet I agree. for a half ton gas, It is one of the best tow rigs out there. Thus why you see them everywhere!

I will swap out the 2016 Expy for a 2018 pretty soon. That should be a nice upgrade!

I like my 2016–for sure. Pulls the heck out of the boat. I had a great Sequoia before but the towing performance isn’t even close

Saying there isn’t much performance difference in a little bit of surface area is the same as saying the that a 10” and 12” subwoofer sound the same.

Plenty of 10" subwoofers that are better than a 12", size isnt everything in the speaker game! and like i said minimal difference in the wave to tuck under the platform is a trade off i'll take!

Well now we know your opinion. Form over function. Go for it and have fun on the lake!
The subwoofer analogy wasn’t the best because if all things are equal I’ll take a 15” over either every time. Lol
If it was easy... everybody would do it!!
