Well Indmar shows 17 brands on their website that use their engines. I bet at least a 1000 each, per year.

I think 1000 is a high # per each

MB is probably around 500-600

It's not what you land.. it's how big you go

That maybe true. I’ve heard Tige and Malibu do over a thousand though. No idea about the others.

There was an article back in '15 that said Malibu sells over 3000 surf gate equipped boats per year. That's a lot of damn boats.

I guess my thinking is when you have that kind of production, you can absorb a few motors without feeling it and keep customers happy.
I'm sure it's more complicated than that, but makes me wonder...

This scares me a little, my mechanic found some milky oil in the transmission line in my '04 when winterizing this year.

Is this related? I'm selling the boat as I just picked up a new Tomcat, but I don't want to sell a boat that's going blow an engine 30 hours in.

Sorry to hear about your troubles is be livid at this point.

Threads like this scare the shit out of me. MB's reputation for customer service sucks, combine that with my local dealer having a shitty reputation has pretty much kept me from pulling the trigger. I was ready to buy either a new 24 Tomcat or the new 18 B52. Now I'm starting my search all over again. Why is it so hard to take care of your customers? Makes me appreciate my Sanger a bit more.
