I have been using a soulcraft Da Honu for about 3 seasons (my fav) and it developed a 3" bubble where my front foot heel is. Jeff said this is from more aggressive riding and the earlier board design. Jeff sent me a shipping label and I sent it to him. He offered to fix it or send me a new re-redesigned Da Honu board free of charge.

Talk about great service and standing behind a product --- Thanks Jeff!!!!

Got to meet Jeff at the Seattle boat show, such a nice guy! Added a voodoo to the quiver this year. Thinking about picking up an AV for “for the wifey” as well...

have you ridden the Ronix power tail? they are the same shape but I'm sure ride much different. Would love to hear your take on the differences.

To be kind of blunt, like the nose of these surfboards:

Possibly the same rough shape from 50 yards away, but could not be more different. Not apples to apples. Categorically completely different products. From a quality and craftsmanship standpoint. Materials are different, fin placement is different, rocker is different, rails are different, bottom contours are different, surfaces are different, traction is different.

The soulcraft product is 1000 times superior in speed and control and weight and liveliness.

I have ridden a Honu, Jimmi8, JS Pro. I am a huge fan of my Chaos Surf Co Sixer. Also Lakewakes is running a special right now, and for around $400 their Hooligan is a heckuva a good value.

The first SC I would buy is the Honu of all those.

Can’t go wrong on those! If you’re a big guy, the Chaos Ringer XL is as good as it gets.

I would highly recommend demoing the boards before ordering or buying one.  You may like one over the other.  I have ridden the blunt nose honu, honu and JS Pro( i think that is Steve142's board).  I prefer the reg honu over the others.

The pointed nose boards turn like a dream. Solid choice.

yes, in my post about the CWB bad habit, skim style board, you said get a Victoria and be done with it. Now I want nothing to do with Compression molded "bog machines" and am fixated on a custom Victoria factor. What is this board you speak of?
