Some of you know that I have started a new boat accessories company called HyperRyd Designs. I am starting with some new surf racks, but I need a boat to demo them on so I am starting my build. I have a 2013 MB Sports F21 Tomcat that I have a lot of plans for over the off season. I’ll post up pics as the build progresses. This won’t be a big corporate sponsored boat. More like a small business make every dollar stretch boat.

I just started tearing it down this week. The tower is off and corner gussets welded in. This generation of tower has a known weak spot on its welds so I figure being pro active would be a good thing. A big thanks to Jeff O’Connor for welding it up for me.

Next up strip the boat and get some powder coating done. Keep checking back for updates.

Today was demo day for all of the parts going to be powder coated. It’s crazy how hidden all of the bolts are. I should have the rest of the windshield off tomorrow and all the parts off to the powder coat shop. The tower and about half of the parts will be satin whit and the rest will be satin black. I have a lot going on the next month so it’s a good time to be waiting for the parts.

Christmas is a wrap.  It's time to make some progress.  Powder coat is almost finished.  Just a few parts to go.  Good time to do an inventory of what I picked up today.

Anthony at Visalia Powder Coating did a great job at a reasonable price.

I put the tower together and I’m working on my booth for the LA boat show. If any of you guys are there swing by the HyperRyd Designs booth and say hi!

Time to paint the speakers white.

Grills definitely need some paint work, but I am warming up to all of the black accessories on the white tower.  The jury is out for now.
