Need some advice from anyone that has ridden these boards:

2017 Phase 5 Wire, $600
2018 “ “, $750
2018 Doomswell Neo Bamboo, $530
“ “ Lime, demo, $390
Chaos Bamboo Sixer, $720
Soulcraft, $875-$1150
Or any other suggestions...

I’m an oldish, 5’11ish, 180ish, novice (at best) dude who will probably spend more time drinking beer on a board than getting air under it. Riding a LF Fish now, so anything should be an improvement. Have not seen any of them in person, selection sucks around here. I really like the look of the Wire, heard good things about the Neo and Sixer, and of course Soulcraft is the cat’s ass. I don’t think Santa cares, but is there $140-$760 worth of difference for an old fart like me? That will buy a shit load of beer!

I can’t give you any great board advise except I know a great rack to hold them in!

I have a Doomswell Drone and I’ve spent a lot of time on the Neo. Fantastic board. I also started on a LF Fish. WORLDS of difference moving up to the doomswell. Highly recommend.

I have a doomswell Neo and a Soulcraft Honu. Both boards are excellent. I love them both but I would say I favor the doomswell slightly over the SC.

I have a Doomswell Neo 17, Bamboo, 4' 10".

Gorgeous board and I've loved it, but I wish I had gotten a size smaller, I'm only 165, and I feel like it's a little too much length for how I'd like to ride it.

Let me know if you're interested in a used one.

A 4-6 might still be too big for you. You’re in size heaven for surfboards. I wish I was 165!

Yeah, I'm a little miffed, the guy at Doomswell recommended that size based on my height probably. Oh well, live and learn ;)

How tall are you? 6-8?

There’s a guy on out local G-league basketball team who is 6-10 185#. He’s “quite thin.”

Bamboo Neo it is! $477 from EVO. One of those sore pecker deals, can’t beat it! Now I just need to teach the old lady how to drive the boat so I can ride the damn thing.

I'm going to get a new Soulcraft soon. Can't decide between Voodoo and Hanu.

Never ever go wrong with a Honu. It maintain it’s the faster board of the 2. Fun fun fun board.

Voodoo is sweet, but I pick Honu if I have that choice.
