So about a year ago I purchased a 2015 f22 tomcat. When I picked up the boat the dealer whent through a few things about the boat, pretty much just the basics. I was so excited about purchasing the boat that I didn’t ask any questions other than when can I leave. I just wanted to get the boat in the water as soon as possible. I have learned so much from this forum about my boat and for that I want to thank all of you. There is still one thing I can’t figure out! What does the accessory toggle switch do?! I have tried it on and off in many different scenarios and still can’t figure it out.

It's an extra switch that can be wired up to an "accessory" by the dealer or the owner.  Could be used for docking lights, LEDs, rocket launcher...

I wasn’t aware there was an option other than rocket launcher, who woulda thought!

I wasn’t aware there was an option other than rocket launcher, who woulda thought!

Right?!  I had a more specific switch for it in the last boat...

Thank you guys! Don’t know why I couldn’t figure that out.
Ok here’s probably another dump question... my bilge pump is wired to just an on/off switch. There’s no option to have it come on with the float. Anyone else have there bilge like this?

Your bilge pump will come on with the float. The switch on the dash is a manual override wired in parallel with the pump’s integral float switch.

Yeah that’s what I thought. Mine doesn’t come on with the float, the pump must be bad. I bought a bigger pump but haven’t put it in yet. Guess it’s time to put it in. Thank you

Yeah your bilge float switch is actually wired straight to the battery hot all the time. That way if it was in a slip and you turned off your battery switch, it would still come on with the float.

Decided to dig a little deaper and put a test light on it. There is no constant power going to the pump. I jumped the wire that controls the float switch and the pump comes on. Pump is fine, wiring is not.

Which is the most ideal. I would not have a boat thats got the auto bilge wired after the switch. Sadly, many do, and im talking boat less then 5 years old. 

 

@Pal27, if its a 3 wire pump; black and 2 browns, one should have battery voltage all the time. I think its the brown with red. Anyway, flip the manual bilge switch to on and see which brown has B+, then you know which is the auto bilge. Find its termination point and there should be a fuse or breaker. 

 

You can also put the plug in and fill the bilge with a garden hose to make the float work as a test.

Found the problem! Pulled the wires out of the loom and found that the butt connector came off due to the wire being corroded. You guys are correct. Tested the wire and it’s hot with the battery on or off. Thanks again for the help!
