I'm looking at a used 2017 F24 Tomcat, but I can't seem to find anyone who can tell me much about how that boat surfs.  Any information about size and quality of wave would be helpful.  I have mostly surfed behind Malibu 23 and 25 LSVs.  Would love to know how the F24 wave compares to those boats.

You mean it will need additional weight beside all ballast and PNP full? How clean is the wave on this big guy?

We run about 400lbs in the nose of lead and the wave is great with the surf tabs in the top pin position. We manly hang out at sea level or a couple hundred feet above and have a 400 with no issues. We have surfed with ten grown men in there and ballast full at Shasta and the wave was huge and per a new Malibu owner that was in the boat the wave was way better then his 2018 23 LSV.

Doesn't surprise me at all that it would be stronger than the LSV.  IMHO, the Malibu waves are great looking but kind of "soft" for my husky self (and admittedly mediocre skills).

PM Dakota4C here on this forum, he did a bunch of playing around with his F24 and created a pretty giant wave.

Full hard tanks, full 1100s, and about 400 up front. Minimal tab deployment, like 7-9 degrees (maybe that corresponds with the top hole as referenced above). Drain offside hard tank after getting underway to clean the lip—just a few seconds. 11.4-ish mph.

Great wave! I used to run out of motor with the Indmar 410 (L96).
