Same thing happened with mine. Assuming yours is similar to mine, the side panel is held on by a few screws/ rivets, can be popped off in just a few mins. On each screw that goes through the faceplate I added a washer and nut. Be careful pulling off the MB logo under the throttle though, they are super easy to mess up, I ended up getting new ones at a autoparts store and replaced them with new ones when putting it back together.
