B52 23 Limited build.

I told my wife we would keep our 2016 B52-23 at least until MB did a complete redesign.....Well that day is here. So I'm looking for some feedback on the interior.

Does anyone have any input on the denim and the reflex? Thinking about using the denim on the main seating area and the reflex for the accent areas. The reflex resembles brushed aluminum and is super smooth.

I really like Ratan but I fear it will hold dirt and make marks on your skin when sitting up against it for long periods of time.

Gel will be orange flake and silver flake.

As always I value this groups input.

Denim is my favorite material. I bought my 17 that had that for A fair bit of the interior. So when I built my boat last year I used denim for a majority of my interior. Doesn’t seem to get brittle like some the vinyls. Really comfortable. Doesn’t seem to get too hot. My only complaint with it is the first material in my boat to collect mildew or mold of it doesn’t get aired out. I would still order again in a heartbeat, but next time I won’t do the white in denim material.

Hey Paul- I met you when you were ordering yours. Congrats on getting a L. I switched my order up to a regular b52. I don’t thing the L will clear a 8’ tall garage door. I did mostly regular on my build this time because of the right color pallet I was going for. The denim is awesome, but just not the right color this time for me, I did accents of gridlock to get some contrast.

Here’s mine. LOVE Denim and Rotan. Both are extremely easy to maintain. Had the same concerns about Rotan but hasn’t been the case. I know mine are dark colors but I have SERIOUS OCD when it comes to cleaning. Notes: Gridlock in black doesn’t like sunscreen - takes a couple hours in the sun to disappear - Gridlock in pearl white doesn’t seem to to have the same issue with sunscreen but it’s easily the hardest vinyl in my interior to maintain and I don’t think it’s because it’s the only white I have - It almost seams porous - dirt

I have gridlock in white. I have no issues. We use Boat Bling every time we come back in. We also use Boat Bling Conditioner every third time.

I use the same products same frequency.

I would say the Gridlock pearl white is fine everywhere I have it with the exception of the areas around the cabin speakers - where the vinyl has to be drawn extremely tight to eliminate wrinkles in the negative arcs. Maybe that tightness is the difference. I suspect few people would even notice it

Wow that's dark! How's the temp in the sun? Do you have any pics of the actual interior? I would have never thought of using the ratan in the main seating area.

I does get warm in the sun but never uncomfortable. I wouldn’t recommend it in Phoenix, I’m in Michigan so...

Paul,

My boat is all reflex. I love the look of it and its easy to clean. It seems to scratch easier than some of the others. Accent areas would be perfect though. My B52 I'm going with carbon denim for main and gridlock silver and white for the rest. Congrats on the new boat!! Can't wait to see it.

Denim looks and feels nice. My worry would be long term sun fade and hard to clean

My experience with the gridlock was not the best. I had it in white and I thought it was hard to clean. and seemed to spread around the stitching like it was a weak material or something. But it looks and feels great.
