I know this has been talked about quite a bit, but having hard time finding threads with search. What's the hot ticket these days? 6'0 250 novice. I just started last year and only ridden a rocket and a few regular surfboards I have from my surfing in ocean days.

Not sure what your budget is, but I ride The Walker Projects. Talk with Mike Walker, he will build the board that fit you just right. I'm 300 and 6'2" and on my second board from him.

I also ride a Victoria XL captain.

 Yes his boards are sweet and he is a couple hours down the road from me. I have had 3 boards shaped for me this past year, all 9+ feet long with custom airbrush and the most expensive was $400. These guys are getting coin for these little things.

 I really liked the manna tee, but went cheap this first time. Plus domswell has a vent which is nice in the 120 degree days of summer, destroyed a paddleboard i left out one day.
