  1. How about these rollers at 10 am - Flaming Gorge Wyoming side of the lake pics from last week.
  2. Instead of a cashiers check have the money transferred into your bank account. Also verify with your bank how long it takes for the funds to be valid once the transfer takes place. I wouldn't let the boat go until you have cash in hand or verified money transfer to you bank. Does the bank have a local branch, walk in and verify it all.
  3. That is sweet. Cant wait for mine. Yes, I am getting the sailor jerry board its the Honu Blunt hose. Josh is in the process of making a few minor changes to the art before I get it. My good buddy just ordered a JS Pro blunt nose that should be shipping around the same time i will get mine. It will be really fun to compare.
  4. Go for it Olds. My wife would never go along with me taking off the platform and having her drive the boat so I could look at the wake. I would have to have some of my buddies help out with that project.
  5. My regular side wave is the side that's not that clean, goofy is great. Maybe I need the the two sided sea lion thumper. how long was your extension?
  6. Nice work. I agree the ability to trim the boat takes it to another level for smoothing out the ride. Has anyone used a wing plate like the centurions have?
  7. The JS pro looks sweet. My buddie just ordered his yesterday from Jeff. Cant wait to get my sailor Jerry Huno a few more touch ups to spice it up a little more. The best part is its not six more weeks!!! All I can say is Jeff Wahlers and Josh Potter are awesome because I am a pain in the ass.
  8. My board is getting closer. Its looking sweet. Josh Potter did a great job on the custom artwork. https://www.flickr.com/photos/potterphlix/18819959774/
  9. Sorry I have't surfed that board or seen any reviews to point you too. Just my 2 cents - but go for made in the USA.
  10. I haven't got my Soulcraft yet it is on order, but I can say it was really cool to talk to the owner and guy that builds the boards. I liked that I could get his opinion on what board would be good for my style of riding and then have it built to size based on wake size, and my size. Also when you are spending that kind of money its pretty cool to get the color or graphics you want on the board. Jeff is having Joshua Potter do some artwork on my board. I will post some pics and a review when I finally get it. Can't wait. I have surfed an inland surfer swallow tail, they are nice boards. For me paying a little extra for that custom touch means a lot. My budget is tight this year so it was a tough decision.
  11. When you say you lost top end whats your top speed now 25mph? I love my MB but dam these boats are slow. I miss my 70 mph when I want to take a cruise around the lake.
  12. I hope not six weeks! Summer will be over. Still can't waaaaaaaaaaaaaaait!
  13. Sorry it happened, but thanks for sharing. My wife told me to just leave it up last time we were leaving the marina, since we don't have that far to go and we aren't going that fast. I am sure it would have been my fault somehow when it broke.
  14. I am in IT as well. I am a Sr. system engineer for the consulting division of Eide Bailly in Utah. I am involved in pre-sales, solution design and implementation. I been in IT for over 20 years but just made the move to Eide Bailly and consulting a little over a year ago. Its been really enjoyable to work with different companies and help them implement new systems. I love IT but wish I had a more flexible schedule for more boating in the summer and skiing in the winter.
  15. After hearing all the great things about SoulCraft from the group, I finally pulled the trigger on a Blunt Nose Honu. I can’t believe how great Jeff Wahlers is to work with, all I can say is “What great customer service!!!”. I have been a total pain in the ass with questions and graphics design requests. I feel like a kid on Christmas eve waiting for Santa to come. I can’t wait to get the awesome new board into my grubby hands and test it out. I will post some pics as soon as I see the end result.
  16. It was a shock to see that on the news. Bear lake is a very big deep, cold lake all year long, with almost no coves for shelter, it can get bad there really fast. After seeing this it was a cruel reminder to me that your families safety comes first and maybe i shouldn't try to be the macho guy who can handle a little weather. I have been in some really bad weather in my old boat ( 25 foot Nordic power boat, it could handle rougher water because of free-board and deep V;in 2 too 3 foot chop you could run 50 plus MPH) I scared the hell out of my wife. Hind site is 20 20 but I would rather be beached on the shore 30 miles from the dock with a damaged boat than to put my family in danger. I might need a sign on the dash to remind me of that, because in the heat of the moment its all about getting back to the dock.
  17. Thanks guys it looks like we aren't going to be taking the boat which really sucks. Its turning into a much lamer short trip. Vegas ins't my idea of fun unless I am on the lake. Maybe in the fall.
  18. Most installers don't do a good job of putting the snaps in good locations, so you end up getting bit when sliding off the boat. It sure is nice when the weather gets really bad to be able to cover the bow to keep out the rain, wind and the rogue waves. Of course I guess there are those that never have bad weather or boat in it.
  19. I almost always towed with the cover on my last boat, 25 Nordic rage open cuddy, but it had snap on covers the fit like a glove. On long tows I would use blue painters tape to seal it down all the way around the boat. I will not tow with the stock cover on my MB unless it is a complete down pour or dust storm. It would be nice to have some snap covers on the MB at times as well as the stock cover.
  20. Champagne taste on a beer budget! I save what little I have for what I love, Keeping me happy by taken the boat, keeping the wife happy by taking her out to someplace nice. I haven't been to Mead in a few years, the waters down so I don't have a clue how it will be.
  21. Hey guys I am going to Vegas June 6 -13. I am planning on bringing the MB so I can boat Lake Mead. I need suggestions on places to stay (with safe boat parking), eat, and don't miss activities. (by the way money is tight) I love food so I want to splurge a couple nights and eat someplace fantastic. Thanks for your help.
