  1. Another update . Called the dealer today to have them get me an estimate on what its going to cost to get the cover/strut/hinge fixed as MB has denied it at this point and MB will not call or email me back. I asked about the service manager that I had the encounter with in the spring, as every time I have called them he has never answer the phone or never heard his name mentioned. He tells me that the service manager has moved on . So I used this as an opportunity to discuss my conversation with the service manager at the time and my concerns . He told me that its stories like these that the owners made some changes . So hopefully the dealer relationship can be salvaged . Still doesnt excuse MB for their poor communication with those that support their company. We as owners of their product are their biggest advertisers.
  2. A little more info I have found out . When we bought our boat, Aug 2012, it was from a different dealer (dealer A). We bought the last MB they had in stock before it was being moved to a different dealer(dealer . There was a lawsuit against dealer (A) and MB because MB pulled the agreement from dealer ( the year before . Whatever happened in the lawsuit/settlement sounds like dealer ( won and MB had to move the agreement back to them . So now sounds like my boat is stuck in the limbo of this whole mess. When talking with the service manager at dealer (, he even said to me , " you bought this boat from dealer (A) so there really is no profit from a sale we made to you to off set any of this time and costs. And you don't use us for any of your maintanence so that makes it even tougher on me " Dealer B is about an 80 mile round trip for me to get to , Dealer A is about 25 mile round trip . Called dealer B yesterday and he tells me Dustin has denied the warranty claim on the engine cover . He was told that there just isnt enough weight or force on the gas struts that it would have pulled the braket out of the plastic. Then asked if I wanted to bring in the boat to have him fix it . I dont know what to believe at this point . With a statement like that from him. I still have not had a return call or email from MB either . It would just be nice to talk with someone over there and discuss it with them myself . My faimly and I love this boat and we are always stopped and asked about it at the lake and on the road when its on the trailer . I have always raved about it to anyone who asked about it , but I am starting to wonder what I am going to say to the next guy ?
  3. Good luck on getting a return email or call . I havent gotten one yet on either my phone call or email. Planning on calling again tomorrow. Dustin is the name I was given that handles the warranty approvals.
  4. Well I put in a call to MB and had to leave a message and I also followed with an email and still have no response on either .
  5. The dealer also carries Bennington,Crestliner,Glastron,Chaparral, and the MB sport . I will give them a call and will let you know what they have to say. Thanks
  6. Anyone been having problems getting warranty work approved ? We have 12' B-52, and in early spring took it to dealer to have some warranty work completed (carpet coming loose,windshield gasket falling out ,screw cover at base of windshield shrinking, and the tower bases loose and twisting out of position ). After 2 month of our boat sitting up there and phone calls to dealer every week , the service manager is telling me that they were not getting any communication back from MB. He tells me he did the work on our boat once it was approved but had to use parts from a different boat in stock as the parts for ours never showed up , and he got us our boat in time for our lake opening date . Now here we go again. July 4th weekend, the engine cover gas strut/support pulls itself loose from the cover . Take it to the dealer who takes the pictures and documents the issue and tells me the hinge is bent along the back . It's now 9-1-14 and in the same situation. Phone calls to the dealer and he keeps telling me there is no response from MB. This doesn't sound like the customer service I had heard MB was so good for when researched and bought it . Is this MB or the dealer ??? Thanks
