  1. I'm also going to use futures fin boxes on the next build! I plan on starting a new project in a few weeks.
  2. Practice makes perfect! I'll do a few more this winter and post pics of the builds, if I can get a few perfect boards in the future. I will try to sell some.
  3. So its surfable, I'm definitely doing another one as I've learned some do's and dont's on this one. I think I'm going to copy our soulcraft design but use the rail off of this one, it cut pretty quick just a little short and the nose was in fact to shallow. But hey at least it's a success at making a rideable board! I'm 135lbs, and friends are 160,185, and it survived!!!
  4. No its a ridge but the resin on the edges of the board cause it to look like a slope but it is a ridge.
  5. Yes it's a ridge I'll take a pic from the side I forgot to post that
  6. Top got buffed and polished as well as traction pad installed, with winter getting close I'm taking it out today instead of finishing the buffing and polishing on the bottom, I will postpone that to a later date. I also found a surf fin that has the same mounting style as others so I have options not just one and done. Hopefully it just works pics coming tonight or tomorrow!!!
  7. This weekend its ready, I'm swinging by ricks tomorrow to check on my bindings and see what his suggestions would be as far as a fins concern is
  8. I got the bottom wet sanded tonight and now I have the top left before I use a rubbing compound and polish nothing crazy just a little shine. Then I get to lay the traction pads. Unfortunately I cut the girl down the middle which happened to be her face. I'll well lesson learned.
  9. Who is that dork on the surf board?
  10. I glossed the bottom tonight using a paintbrush to spread the resin and man it worked perfect it's gonna be easy to wet sand and bring out the shine!!
  11. Top and bottom almost finished with sanding then a quick gloss coat, then polish, put down traction pads and add a fin!!
  12. Thanks everyone! Obviously I'm not a professional and there are some flaws but I guess that's what makes it unique.
  13. OK so the bottom of the board has two layers of 6 oz. Fiberglass weave tomorrow I will do the top if I have time!
