Surf only in a known area. Under water rocks are very unforgiving at Powell.

Pineview is my second favorite lake in Utah behind Lake Powell. Water is warm nice sandy beaches and the wind is usually very minimal. Downside to Pineview is on the weekends it gets very crowded. Go on a weekday and it will become a favorite of yours and your kids. Jordenell is not that cold. We went to Stawberry twice last year and had a great time. That lake is colder but on a nice hot day it feels good and the lake is huge with minimal boats. You can surf forever without hitting someones wake. We just got back from Powell last week. 2277 is the sweet spot for me at Deercreek and Powell. I have a different trans though. B52 18 23 with the 575. Ballast full under, front and back 11.4 mph cav plate 40% 2800 rpms at Deercreek. Goofy side curls like the pipeline in Hawaii.

Wave is big but the push is weak and we keep falling out the back. What should I try in our setup? Plug and play full. under, back and front. 200 pounds of lead weight also in the nose. I agree with Don. I had a 2017 440. Sometimes it seemed like the engine was going to explode while surfing. Traded in for 2018 super charged and the noise difference is unbelievable. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Dealer found out that the boat has a faulty Cat. Indmar is sending new parts to be installed.

Only 5 hours on the engine and then this happens. While running I heard some kind of pop and then the engine went to crap. We were fully loaded with all sacks and tanks filled to capacity. Open the engine compartment and saw loads of water in the hull and water spewing out the hole on the exhaust gasket. I turned on the bilge pump immediately and let it drain for a good twenty min. I tied two garbage sacks around the hole while a buddy held it in place so we could limp back to the marina. Has anyone had this happen to them? Anyone know what would cause this. I hope it was just bad luck. 575 e

Prop on my 2017 b52 440 was a 2775 the new 2018 575 also came with the 2775 on it. Dealer has us going to the 2701. 15.5 pitch. Going out this Saturday fingers crossed. Snowing today. I will pay more attention on exact rpm’s while surfing. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Less than 2 hours on the engine. Its still stupid cold. Had to switch out the high attitude prop. Will try the new prop out this Saturday.
