  1. 2017 MB Sports F24 Tomcat. 6.2L Raptor 440 motor with low hours (80-100 I have to confirm exact amount next time I have it out). MB Switch Surf System with quick plane cavitation plate. MB plug and play twin 1100 lb. Ballast Bags and MB flood gate hard ballast (over 4000 lbs of total ballast) Zero off surf and wakeboard speed control. Depth finder. Dual batteries. Bimini top and tower with board racks. Upgraded Exile Audio sound package with 4 XM9 tower speakers. Gator step flooring. Led theatre lights. Cockpit heater. 2 built in under seat ice chests. Upgraded trailer and wheel package. Vapor Blue and Charcoal Flake metallic gelcoat. Huge boat with room for 16 people. Great surf and wakeboard boat. Family owned. First owner. Always stored indoors. Fresh water only. Asking $88,000 (For sale local for 91K) If sale price is right I’ll throw in all my boards and gear. 3 surfboards, 3 wakeboards, several pull ropes, 3 person tube, sumo sac for the nose, several life jackets and ski vests in all sizes, bumpers, dock lines, anchor (think turn key operation for a family). Batteries are on their last leg so I’ll throw in a set of new batteries also. Located in Elk Grove/Sacramento, CA
  2. If you're considering the NXT at 85-90k you might as well step up to an optioned out F24 at the same price. The bigger boat will give you a better surf wave out of the box. I'd keep an eye out for your local boat show dates. That's where you'll get your best price. A good boat buying tool is see dealer cost.com. The website was just a few thousand more than the actual price I paid for my 17 F24 at the boat show, so it gives a pretty accurate picture of what kind of markup you're paying. My F24 had a very good wave in its stock form. It just takes a little trial and error with the ballast, gsa settings, and speeds to get it right, but everything you need is there. I definitely recommend the GSA for ease of wave set up. It eliminates the need for listing or loading up extra surf side ballast to get a solid wave. And finally, I have to disagree with your dealer. I LOVE my F24. No buyers remorse or second guessing here and as long as MB maintains the high quality at the reasonable prices they are known for, my next boat will be another MB.
  3. If it were mine I'd go Shark. But it's not, and the fact that you loaded up the teak version is pretty telling. Go with what you like and rock it out.
  4. Only issues I have with my zero off is when going up river. If you're on a lake and its surging, somethin isn't right. For your surf set up, double down on your rear bags, like Dakota said, and use that 500 up in the bow.
  5. As far as Oakland hotels, my first pick would be the Claremont in Berkley and second would be Homewood suites in Oakland. In SF we usually stay at the Fairmont. That whole bay area is easily drivable. You can stay in Oakland and visit SF and vice versa. Other than the cruise ship ports and Disney area, I'm not much help for SoCal hotels.
  6. Maybe it's a sign to change lakes. Oroville isn't too far away. Or come down to New Melones.
  7. I always fly southwest for short trips. It's barebones but is more than adequate for short flights. Last time I flew into LAX on southwest (a couple of months ago) the terminal that southwest was in was under construction. That being said, I'd opt for Burbank. As far as hotels, what are you looking for. Cheap and clean or nice and good accommodations/location?
  8. I don't have any complaints on exhaust but we are 50/50 surfing and wakeboarding. I guess if we were surfing all day I may notice it more. Anyway, take a look at the attached link. Some friends have it and said it helps. http://www.freshairexhaust.com/
  9. I pulled the trigger on the exile covers. Code works with no issues. Thanks for sharing that.
  10. My tower did the same. Wires were pulled too tight inside the tower and came loose. Easy fix at the dealer. Mine is in for the Mil light for the third time. Just a quirk of these engines. At some point it will run out of reasons to throw a code. I'm running the 440 so my rpms are going to be different than yours, but I'm usually in the 4K to mid 4K range. Also what's your elevation? As far as bow rise, use small amounts of cav plate (less is better) and add 600 to 800 up front and a passenger or two.
  11. 85 and some change at the boat show. They threw in about 10k in upgrades as part of the boat show special, so 90s sound about right depending on your options.
  12. Yeah, 650 up front. I ride goofy, 6'1" 230 also. I did change the pin location and the wave was much better. That seemed to be the change I needed.
  13. Is everyone running the same main pin location as Salvoise. Mine came set to the top hole on the left (looking at Salvoise's close up pic). I have the new non-adjustable tabs on my 17 F24. I've tried Dakotas recipe with the exception of changing the pin location on my tabs. I just can't get a good wave. It feels short (but super steep) and I fall out of the pocket very fast. I bought a new Neo thinking my Butterbar was hurting my progress, but I was a little disappointed in the board. Heading out to the lake tomorrow and im willing to try the new pin location if that's the consensus.
  14. Steele park is probably the least crowded and one of the better launches. I lived 5 min down the road and used it quite often. Now I'm coming from Sacramento and use Markley Cove. Not as good of a ramp and parking is a nightmare, but it cuts my drive down and puts me in the canyon portion of the lake, where you find the best water.
