  1. I Remember seeing something on this a while back but unable to locate. Anyone have success with a cleaner/Conditioner for the tower (Black) and the other powder coated billet pieces to restore to new look and protect from fade. I know they will not shine but get faded and water spots over time. Have not tried any kind of wax yet since the tower has texture to it. Thanks
  2. @The Donfather's old boat is for sale in Texas. Tricked out 2018 with 575. https://wake-authority.com/boats-for-sale/2018-mb-b52/?doing_wp_cron=1683843779.4503979682922363281250
  3. Interested in report back on the new Jet Pilot board. Have surfed many and my 5 year old Honu is still my go to (chips, cracks heel dents and all). With board prices, I need a really good comparison review or demo ride before I buy...
  4. @Couvmerk you running the 400 or 440?
  5. 2020 with 440. My 18 that @texman now has ran 3600 - 3800 all day long with the same amount of weight and 440. The 18 does have the GSA Controller on it so tabs positions could be slightly different, same pin hole positions though. Might try one more and move on...…..NO complaints on my surf waves (both sides)! Just at 3/4 clearance
  6. Well, if I must say...…….that's just a badass boat you have! Curious to see what she does up there with the 2247 back on
  7. She is own my lake now, not many around here but have a feeling that will change in the next few years. When new owner sat in mine he knew he made the right choice to buy Don's boat. Previous A24 owner...……….no comparison
  8. Ran 3407 very briefly this weekend. Only dropped RPM about 100, right around 3800 @ 11.2 with 250lbs lead in the nose and two people. I expected better reduction since I am only at 450 feet. I guess this is just where the 440 wants to run, even with 5 or 6 people in the boat my rpm's do not vary much at all....plenty of power, never struggles. I might be up for one more try at a different prop...….2849, 3093?
  9. FAE made me a spray plate for my 18 (Texman now owns) that just clamped on with hose clamps, could probably affix with 5200. The current one is the second one he made with recommendations for improvements/changes. FAE is VERY GOOD to work with.
  10. Yes, prepped and used 5200 earlier. Not expecting miracles, but if it shaves 200 - 300 RPM's at surf speed and does not mess with wave I will be happy. I have plenty of power to spare ( I think) with the 440 and need a spare prop. Agree with Racer's comment on Noico, not as quiet as some of the others out there but did muffle the engine noise.
  11. Prop and stainless install this afternoon, should get out Friday to test. 1/16 stainless seems thicker than I anticipated, could only find a 6x6 piece on ebay……….will see and let you know
  12. Rode one about 4 years ago but do not remember the model. Liked the board but went with SC Honu and have never looked back.
  13. Done...….Very worthy $75 DIY project, thanks for the info. Will try drain mod next
  14. I will have a new option to throw in the mix by next week for 440 owners. 2020 with 440, all ballast full with 600lbs of lead scattered around, current RPM @ 11.2 is 3900 -4000 (Do not use ANY center tab). Jim suggested the 3407 which is 15.5 x 13 with a 150 cup. I'm at 450 feet and do not really need the extra power/torque of the 440 but can't stand to hear a motor in that range for 90% of the time it is running. Will see and report back...……….
  15. It can be nice to have, but I am completely happy with my surf style wave on the new one...……Both sides. Yes, weight and speed adjustments can make all the difference you need.
