  1. I should be able to measure that early next week for you (boat is tucked away in the "toy box" aka spare garage across town). And like you mentioned, pretty sure a little bit more weight in the back corners will help a lot. My cav plate looks exactly like your picture when not in use (i.e. fully retracted up).
  2. Local Albertan here (albeit, boat lives in Invermere) - i have the same 2014 F22 as yours. I've got the same stock ballast hard tanks (filled 100% on surf side, empty on other side), suction cup wedge (mission) on the opposite side, and a pair of 500lb sacks that i always keep full (lazy), Cav plate usually 1/3-1/2 way down and we can pull some pretty good surf waves. Lots of folks have surfed behind our boat and can't believe (for the equipment) how good it is. Can i ask what speed you're going? I didn't see it above. We are usually at 10.7 mph. I found speed made a huge difference on our wave. Our (non-lifted) platform doesn't affect the wave either. With that said, I can't find a picture of our wave now. I'll post one if i can find it.
  3. Hey Brandon - the evolution cover doesn't come down far enough to cover the handles on the back above the platform - they simply act as a tie down point for straps to cinch down on the back of the cover. different handles shouldn't matter. Hope that helps... Chris
  4. just doing the annual check on the boat prior to being put away (i know - put me in the category of "it's already winterized") and i noticed the single rubber (?) block sitting between the tower and hull is cracked. see pics. is this an easy job to replace? and if so, any idea where i get the factory rubber block from? Thanks in advance! Chris edit - and any does anyone have a good recommendation for a polishing compound for the aluminum bits of my tower? detail time for that too.

    Cover

I'll second this recommendation for evolution covers. so much better than the original factory cover that was deteriorating on our boat. and he even called me upon the shipment's arrival to walk me through it's fitment and care.
  6. Edit Nvm I need to spend more time looking next time. Right under the carpet in the walk through. Duh
  7. Ok... another rookie question. First time putting the boat away ... it’s my 2014 f22 tomcat. Where the heck are the batteries so I can put the trickle charger on it? Started tracing the shutoff switch backwards but then the wiring disappears. Help?
  8. Ran out of weekends so it had be done this past weekend. All winterized and tucked in the garage for the winter. If there's a prize for being first, i don't want it.
  9. Let me be the first - already put away. sigh.....
  10. Thanks for the tip. I will try this next time out (unfortunately in 2020 - winterizing tomorrow sigh).
  11. I'm a serious rookie if that's how we are supposed to be doing it. i assume you mean route it under completely so that the zipper access hole isn't part of the rope path either?
  12. Do you mind if i ask what you have over your rope to protect the bimini? our surf rope chafes along the back leading edge of the bimini (yes, our rope gets used as we're all beginners) and i don't want the fabric to wear thin. TIA
  13. pretty sure i'll be doing some mods to clean up the trailer tolerances. i can actually see where the bolt is starting to "oval" out the hole.
  14. That's my worst fear ...that it would break while driving. I picked up some Grade 8 replacement bolts to replace the current one. The current one is wearing exactly where you describe (thread meets the shoulder of the bolt). Thanks for the reply.
