  1. Original prop and strut installed and can see the cut area of the strut. Not talking shit I’ve worked for several automotive major brands and have seen way more questionable things from the stuff they put out just curious what is going on here I have a mechanical mind that has to know.
  2. I recently bent the strut on a prop strike. Researched and got the OEM strut from manufacturer. The issue is the original looks to have been cut to fit by MB any one have any insight on this? Do I need to cut the new strut to fit? What is the reason for the shorter strut needed. I am also replacing the prop shaft which I also have the OEM shaft from elberts. Kinda strange that MB did this on a new boat I never noticed it before but now that I see it I have gone back to old pics of the prop and it’s always been like that. Really curious what the need for this was or was it just poor planning an
  3. Mb has had the 2 speed trans before. It was back in the flames out b52 days
  4. I feel like Mel does everything in his power to make it right between MB and the owners! We’re you able to clean the rust stains off or is it permanent? Either way it sucks
  5. Okay I think mine is a later 2014 f22 so maybe I won’t have the tower issue but I know I have the all round tubing and my buddy’s 2015 b52 has an oval shape to the tubing which I would think is the redesign tubing? Man I do love the new tower but for 8k that’s not going to happen anytime soon
  6. Just to update my post I got the new mounts and propshaft installed and the boat is smoother than it’s been in a while... MB stepped up to the plate when I called them and took care of the issue with a customer satisfaction deal that I am happy with so I’m pleased to say mb gets credit for taking care of me on this deal!!!
  7. Anyone know if the 2017 and up tower can’t go on in place of the old tower? I think that would be the best resolution for MB to retro fit that tower... they look like pretty much the same style of mounting base design. If the old design is flawed I really would not want to patch it and hope for better results
  8. Yeah I am the original owner I’ll give them a call who knows maybe they will help out!
  9. Thanks for the link. The ski dock called Indmar and has them ordered for me. I couldn’t find a phone number for Indmar and they never emailed me back. I saw in that link that guys were getting the repair covered under warranty because of the known issue... wonder how I get that treatment??? The selling dealer I purchased it from new no longer sells MB (txmc) and the ski dock parts lady seemed like this was the first time she had ever looked up an engine mount bushings...I’m a 20 year automotive technician veteran and it doesn’t work like this in the car repair world. Manufacturers either commi

  11. I would see if you have crack around the key way area of the propshaft at either the prop or coupler side also check that the prop is good and seated... I had a vibration before mine broke and it looks like it was cracked for awhile before it broke completely
  12. Big surprise my propshaft broke on my 2014 f22. Elberts was right on sending out one but I can’t find solid info on the mount bushings... called 2 dealers and so far they are stumped on finding part numbers to order mount bushings... I saw in a prior post in here to get (8) 53-6007 bushings but on the web it looks like the engine bushings are a different part number 53-6005 and the trans bushings are listed as the 53-6007... does anyone know???
