nickm
The seats on my boat are all for lack of a better term "digging" or leaving indentations in the gel coat under them. Anyone else experience this?
MidnightMax
is that from the plastic "keeper" blocks or watever you call them? mine rub but definitely not that deep into the gel
nickm
is that from the plastic "keeper" blocks or watever you call them? mine rub but definitely not that deep into the gel Anywhere the seat vinyl touches the gel. It's also really bad under the hatch covers.
Dimiz4
Does not happen on my boat. So I would say not normal. Excessive pressure or heat?

The boat stays inside in dry storage when not on the water, I'm starting to think it might be a defective gel issue.
AZ_MB
Could it be from lack of hardener in the gel coat mix?
theedgeinc
This happens. I've seen it across all makes and models. It REALLY shows on colored gelcoat, especially black micah7476 and JEFF
Chevykid872
The only way to reduce this from happening is to make sure you wipe in between the seat cushions and boat before you launch. I noticed I get a lot of fine sand under my seats from towing or just sitting and this was happening. JeffO
