WakeDirt 634
Hey fellas, Been pontoonin' the last few summers with the little ones and have been snooping as always. Pulled the trigger on a steal today and had a few questions. Stereo setup: 1 JL HD 750/1 running a single sealed JL w7 12" 1 JL 600/4 running 6 alpine spa 601 6.5s in boat 2 JL 900/5 running two pairof rev 10s AND 2 bullets apparently. Wetsounds eq Should I pull the bullets and 900/5s and run a SD2? Also any review of the revo6s? Would they run well on a 600/4? Thanks as always!

Wylietunes 151
I would absolutely pull those 7.7s'. Up against four 10" HLCD, they are blue on black, whisper on a scream. Not worth the 2 amp setup and extra realestate, to power them. The SDX-2 is the perfect single amp to drive 2 pair of rev-10. The Revo-6 is going to be a noticeable change. Slightly larger tweeter and 2nd order cross over create better mid-bass, more accurate highs and s seamless transition. I would consider twin SDX-6 and remove both 900/5s and the 600/4. Eight chnls bridged to the four rev-10 and 4 remaining chnls for the 6 revo-6.
WakeDirt 634
Thanks Wylie! Been a while but always good advise from ya. How do you think they even got those 7.7a wired in??

Wylietunes 151
IIRC, the 5th chnl of the 900/5 can run full-pass, with the intention of being a band-pass chnl, not just a low-pass sub woofer chnl. Id guess they have one 7.7 wired to each 5th chnl. Not the best use of an HLCD. Especially not worth it with an 8"ish next to a 10" mid-bass woofer. The 900/5 is likely limiting the peak highs of of the HLCD, yet the mi-bass from small woofer is no match to the 4 10" woofers.
Jake (((O))) 1,396
Eliminate the 7.7s, put 1 pair of revs on the 750/1, put the other pair on the 600/4, put what's left on the 900/5. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
Jake (((O))) 1,396
I mean just so you can actually maximize the current setup. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
