Raisin' Cain
Needing a new prop. 2014 F22, 350 with 1.5 trans (I think). With factory full, 800's in the lockers, 600ish in the bow, a few hundred pounds of stereo, slapper deployed, 5 person crew, and 585ft elevation, she will only get up to 9mph at about 3200 RPM. Running a 2249 now (will probably sell when I get the new one). ACME recommends a 2419. Found a pretty good deal on a 2079, but I'm running a 15" now, so don't really want to go smaller. I usually cruise at about 30mph, not sure what top speed is, maybe 38-40ish. With factory plus bow bag, usually run ~3000 rpm at surf speed. What are you guys running? How much weight? What RPM at surf speed? Cruise speed and RPM? Top speed? Anyone looking to get rid of a 2419 or buy a 2247, let me know. bloodiestcadaver
bloodiestcadaver
2275 is a couple pitches more. also very common prop number for high altitude. should bring your rpms up to 3800 or so
meetloaf13
2016 F22, 400 raptor, boat at 5,200 ft. 1.5 trans I called Acme and he suggested the 2937, he said they made this prop specifically for F22s, heavily weighted at elevation. Only get 30-32 MPH at 5500 RPMs I've been pretty happy with it. We pretty much surf, the other stuff is whatever. Plenty of power out of the hole. I'm also interested in that one and maybe even the 2773. Want to keep RPMs as low as possible, but still pull weight.
Kalen427
2775? I'm also interested in that one and maybe even the 2773. Want to keep RPMs as low as possible, but still pull weight. 2773 works amazing, but that’s on a 16 f22 with raptor 400 and 1.76 trans. Took me from surfing at 5400 rpm to 4-4300 depending on weight. Gets on plane as easy as the 2775 did as well.

I have the newer trans ratio and mine will surf at 4500 and top out at 32 mph at 5900 feet(2775). I would assume a 2775 to you would be like a 2247 for me. and they are 2 pitches different. 2247 puts me about 3800-3900 while surfing at 11.
meetloaf13
Yes, don't ignore your trans ratio, it matters when choosing prop. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
Sbentz101
I thought 1.76 was new trans ratio? Or is that just for b52? OrangeTJ
Kalen427
2016 old builds had 1.5, newer builds had 1.76 ... I think they are still 1.76 now but I can’t say for certain
Sbentz101
Your post above and next one down made it seem different but that's what I thought it was Kalen427

OrangeTJ
Yep! And it is critical to know which you have when selecting a prop. What works well on a 1.5 boat will probably not be so great on a 1.76 and vice versa. Kalen427

btbpreston
Top speed is ~ 38.5 mph. I need to pay more attention to my RPMs.

meetloaf13
Wow, I'm running 4,500+ in ballast + lead. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
pickle
2775 running 3k ballast and about 7-8 people usually on the boat. sounds like you need more bow weight to get over the hump. I have hit a wall with the 2775 a few times and have to move adults to the front. i am getting ready to invest in lead to add as far forward as i can get it. my bow bag just isnt quite enough
Raisin' Cain
Have a 2775 on the way. Going to be fun changing it out on the lift... Should have a 2249 for sale next week.
