dakota4ce
In our 15, we added FAE and it quieted our engine noise tremendously! Before we added FAE, we tried all the hacks to reduce engine noise and nothing compared to outcome of FAE. We just bought an 18 with the factory surf pipe and it’s so loud compared to our 15. We are thinking about pulling it off and adding FAE.i think it’s more from the raptor and not the surf pipe. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk They’re the same thing essentially....? mxvet
I believe the factory surf pipe does not extend as far down in the water as FAE, so for wakeboard speeds, it doesn't do much. Birddog7.62

meetloaf13
Awesome, thanks. Super helpful, I like that you only applied it to trays and the engine compartment siding, and not to the underside of the compartment doors. I wonder if this was to keep it from impacting the wakeboard wake? Otherwise, why not extend it lower? Birddog7.62

shawnmdarnell
Hot4teach, you are spot on. For the moment, we have two MB’s with the 400. One with the FAE pipe and one with MB surf pipe. The FAE pipe is half the noise as the MB pipe, but like someone else mentioned, the FAE did mess up the wake board wake, but didn’t phase the surf wave. AZ_MB
I think I'll give this a go. I'm considering going thicker though. Noico has some 170 mil material. Did you look at this option kalamazoo? https://www.amazon.com/Noico-Waterproof-Insulation-Self-Adhesive-Deadening/dp/B07FYLM47D/ref=asc_df_B07FYLM47D/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=319863728342&hvpos=1o3&hvnetw=g&hvrand=17821755907334256440&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9030048&hvtargid=pla-565811108762&psc=
