cpr1979 2
Hi All, I am moving in to a new house and the garage measures 23ft deep with the standard 6'10" opening. Is there any way a 2015 F22 is going to fit? The trailer is Boatmate and the wheels are currently 18". I read on another post that if I change the wheels to 14" and lower the trailer as much as possible it will fit the height portion. Is 23ft deep enough for a F22? The trailer has the folding tongue. I want to know before I buy 4 new wheels and tires. I have attached the previous post http://www.mbboatowners.com/index.php/topic/3545-2014-f22-fit-in-7ft-high-garage/ Thanks! TTempfer 15
It will not. Even if you take the swim platform off, the exhaust pipe sticks out a few inches. And then the breakaway tongue even collapsed will still be sticking out the door. As far as width and height it will. You would have to collapse the tower and take the guide poles off the trailer. Kalen427 431
If you have enough width to play with I’m sure you could stuff it in at an angle...
cpr1979 2
Thanks everyone. So to be clear these are the steps needed to get it to fit. 1. Take off 18inch wheels and replace with 14" 2. Lower wake tower and steering wheel all the way down 3. Take of racks from tower? Or turn in to lowest point? 4. Remove guide polls from trailer 5. Angle boat in garage to fit somewhat diagonally Please confirm this is all I need to do Does anyone have a measurement of the total length with swim tower of a 2015 F22 including trailer with breakaway tongue turned in? My boat is locked in storage and I'm curious how many inches I am going to be long.
TTempfer 15
I noticed you said 6'10" opening. Is that the door height or width. I thought I have just a standard garage door. But looking at the other thread I guess garage doors are anything but standard. I was assuming that the door height was 8'. If it is there is no need for smaller wheels and board rack shenanigans. I'll try and get a full measurement for you.
cpr1979 2
Hi TTempfer The 6'10" is the height. The width is 21ft. The depth is 23ft. Really hoping I can make this boat fit. Thanks!
hawkdad22 233
If it’s going to be a tight fit, I would recommend a trailer assist. Never seen them before but one of my cousins just got one to get his boat in his garage and from what I understand it basically allows you to slowly maneuver your trailer into position. Basically let your truck Do the hard work, but the trailer assist will do the final touches to maneuver into place. I’ll see if I can find a link or a picture

Sbentz101 318
I also think height will be an issue. My garage is about a foot taller and is barely tall enough. Maybe smaller tires/rims?
hawkdad22 233
F22 tho...not the
cpr1979 2
If anyone has the total length of the F22 with trailer tongue bent that would be awesome Does anyone out there have an F22 on 14inch wheels? Can you verify how tall it is with the tower down and steering wheel lowered? The Trailer Valet looks like an interesting idea. That would help me pivot at an angle assuming I can get it in the garage
breakz77 1,489
You can also lower the trailer by 2-3"
AZ_MB 441
You're likely going to have to remove your platform and board racks. My prior garage had a standard 7" door (not sure if it measures a full 7' or 6'10" like you said) and was 22' in length. My trailer is a Boatmate on 14's and I was able to clear by about 1" once the racks were off (the racks are the high point once the tower is folded). I echo what was said earlier about a trailer dolly. I used a Power Mover AC-8 and it was great for tight maneuvering. With only a few inches of clearance in the front and back you need to be precise. I don't have a surf system either so that meant only the exhaust tips in the rear. If you have a surf system you may need to un-pin them.

steve142 782
I have a standard 7ft door. With a 2014 B52, sitting on a CTW trailer, I have to take the board racks off, tower folded, steering wheel in lowest position and have about a 1/2 inch of clearance. Using a boat dolly, boat won’t fit, because it raises the tongue too much. I also have about 23’ depth, obviously I have the platform off and tongue folded, I had the trailer made, with the winch mounted on the folding part of the tongue and I have about 1” of clearance for the garage door to shut. I could not fit, one more ounce of boat in my garage.
AZ_MB 441
Using a boat dolly, boat won’t fit, because it raises the tongue too much. The Power Mover I had actually helped because it lowered the tongue. There are several different styles on the market. The remote driven Trailer Valet is really cool but much more expensive. https://youtu.be/GINFzcvHP3Q
Mucker626 2,376
Steve’s boat takes a special boat horn to get it in his garage!
steve142 782
I tried Midnight’s trailer valet, and it wouldn’t work. The tongue needs to be lower than the height that it is, when it’s sitting on the trailer valet, to fit in the garage, if that makes sense
cpr1979 2
Yes I was researching if there was a way to just dip the bow of the boat down to below trailering position just to get the windshield and folded tower in Almost like a floor jack or something similar That way assuming the length is sufficient I could just back up the trailer to the windshield and then offload the trailer and hook it up to a tow hitch that was lower than my truck. Sounds like the Trailer Valet does not get low enough. Hoping there was some other option.
Bobby-21 18
I have the same height issues with my 2015 B23 going under a 7' garage door. It CAN happen and this is how I did/do it: 1) Lowered the trailer by moving the spindles on the torsion axles 2) Tower down with racks OFF 3) Tire pressure down to 15ish pounds 4) TRAILER VALET (frame mount not ball mount) in lowest position It generally touches the top garage weather stripping going it but it works! snow1wake 20
Is your home siding or brick? Interior ceiling height is higher than door opening. For the cost of a trailer valet You can reframe opening, ( if brick, lentil would need to be replaced 1 or 2 courses higher, and possibly need add partial panel To your door. Change header to laminated beams. I raised and widened mine to accommodate 2013 F21 so to leave poles and racks in place. The easier you make access the more the boat get used. Lowering tire pressure, removing racks/poles at 10pm after full day on water or adding back at 7am before heading out? Your going to start dreading that!

I agree, I only put my boat in garage for winter so the few things I have to do aren't so bad. But if this was a weekly or daily task then I would also look at changing garage door for long term. cpr1979 2
Hi Bobby, What type of trailer do you have and what wheel size are you running? I am guessing 14? Snow1 the garage is stucco and it would be a decent size job. I get your point though. Trying to make this as easy as possible!
Bobby-21 18
Sorry I'm just getting back to you. I have the sport boat trailer with these wheels? Not sure of the size but certainly not 14's.
