Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk Thats what most have told me. Do you get a lot of bugs on the tower? I will be traveling about 1100 miles. I have thought about plastic wrapping the tower. Preston M.
I do get alot of bugs furthest ive drug the boat was 6 hrs, but im draggin it from east Texas to NE Louisiana so theres no gettin away from the bugs. I always wipe the boat down. You think plastic wrap will hold up? Do you have mud flaps on your truck? Will help you from dinging your boat up with rocks. Yes Mud flaps are a must Preston M.
Hyperryd
I'm pretty sure on the new style tower there is something you can get to tow with the tower down.
Kalen427
I'm pretty sure on the new style tower there is something you can get to tow with the tower down. Yes, there is a triangular gusset that bolts in place to hold it safe and steady while the tower is down for travel. Hyperryd
hot4teach
On long trips I tow with the cover on. Wrap the rub rail and the tower and protect the vinyl and window frame from getting chafed. The seems on the cover will rub the vinyl. Birddog7.62

mxvet
I travel every where with the tower down and cover on. The mistake people make is not getting the cover tight enough. If its lose, it will rub. On my 4th MB since 2009, never had a issue with cover rubbing. ratchet down! Birddog7.62 and JMARK
bloodiestcadaver
I usually have the cover off, but On my long trip i use the cover since the boat is loaded with stuff. Only thing I notice is rubbing on the tower base and alittle on the windshield frame. JMARK

JMARK
where did it come from? You have one of the best boat dealers right there in mesa. I bought it from a private party in Oregon. But I paid the local dealer to get it ready to ship to me

T.Monty
Looking for some info on how everyone travels long distance . Boat cover on or off? Tower up or down? Thank you in advance for info!! Hi Mark I’ve wrapped our boat with plastic crash wrap when towing it long distance. The crash wrap is sticky on one side it works well , not cheap but is worth it. I’ve left the cover on but used masking tape around all the high spots of the boat ,around the windshield frame, around the whole stainless moulding and have had no issues. I’ve actually used old bed sheets over the boat then put the cover on as well. My fear is taking a rock of the windshield with the cover off and breaking it. I always wondered how much road debris will end up in the boat without the cover in as well. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
