Recently purchased a used 2000 MB Sports Boss 190 with the GM 350 5.7l V8. Took it out a few times now and each time it runs GREAT!.. for a while, but after about an hour, the motor starts loosing power while cruising. It Bogs down and if I don't pull the throttle back to idle or neutral, it dies. Starts right back up without hesitation and idles in gear just fine, but once the power loss starts (after an hour or so of operation), it wont maintain any speed above 1k RPM and will bog down again.

I've replaced the fuel filter, low pressure fuel pump, high pressure fuel pump and spark plugs and it's still happening. Engine temp on the gauge is constant 160 with no indication of overheating. Oil pressure seems normal. Any ideas what else could cause this issue? I'm stumped!

You ever figure this out? I'm dealing with a very similar issue. I've traced mine to a fuel issue. It runs fine with 43 psi at the injection rail, then after about 40min. It drops fuel pressure to 10psi and sputters and pops. I can idle back to the launch but that's about it. Hopefully you've fixed yours by now. Let me know what your issue ended up being.

sounds like you need a fuel pump

I thought mine needed a fuel pump also. Ordered one, and while I waited for it to show up I did some more diagnostics. Turns out my high pressure pump was cutting out, exact same symptoms. Ran for 40min then just sputters and pops then I'd idle back to boat launch. I had a fuel pressure gauge on it while running and could watch the pressure go from 43-45 psi. To 10psi when the issue occurred. The 10 psi was my low pressure pump still working, hp pump was crapping out. Ran the boat with a voltage meter hooked to the hp pump and viola, I was losing voltage. Replaced the relay with a $20 part from oriely's (which is a blower fan relay off a 98 chevy pickup) and no more issues, I do however have a spare fuel pump now. Got a smoking deal on this boat (2000 mb boss 210, 300hrs.) Because of a 20 dollar part.

great find!. I bet HP and LP share the same power source, which would explain your loss in low pressure as well.

I have a 2007 F23 and am having an issue with water pooling up under the front cushions. I was reading in here where someone had talked to MB and they told them where to drill holes in each side to let the water drain to the back. Can someone help me and show me exactly where to drill holes?

New to forum. Had a 2015 Mokmba Mondo sacked to 3600 with autoflow 2.0. Flawless motor and boat. Seen this sick looking boat one day and pulled up next to it on sand bar and couldn't get over the look of it. Well...just don't like the Jesse ventura in running man robot looking tower it had but that is fixed for 2017.

The cutoff windshield...higher floor height...freeboard...new tower...this boat is sick and I get a raptor again.

Was looking at a 2017 craz but that bow doesn't compare to the tomcat. Only thing I hate on all the moomba boats isbthe wakeboard wake has some lip and you have to ride empty and about 22 to get it to rollover. My boy rides at 23 to 24 fully sacked and I have several times and had the pleasure of what feels like my spine ripping apart when I grab an edge.

Anyone have pics of slower speed wakebaord wake and wakesurf wake? I'm GUESSING a tomcat would be real nice with 4500 lbs of ballest

      Thanks for helping.

Teying to see what I'm going to buy.

      Craz or tomcat

      Hi Everyone,

Brand new just bought a holdover 2014 F22 tomcat. Got my 10 hours on it and started playing with surfing this weekend. I DO NOT have the surf system just the cav plate. Would love some advice on getting a better wake with some push.

I am looking for at least the rest of this season to stay stock if possible.. I live in Montana and don't have months to go.

I tried starting with both stock tanks full and couldn't get a clean wake at all, no matter what did with the cav plate.

Switched to just the left tank full and cav plate about 50% down and cleaned up nice and could surf. Seemed very close to boat though and not tons of push. I myself and new to surfing so that I am learning also.

Topics seen so far are mostly about adding bags. I would like to try to stay as close to stock as possible, nice have the storage and not ready spend more :-). Already big investment with boat, boards, etc.

Was reading about bleeding the opposite side stock tank off? Could this help if I fill both tanks and then get going bleed some off would this help clean up the left side wake?

If anyone has some advice on getting best I can out of this boat as is would be super helpful. Thanks!
