Partnering with MB Sports, MBBoatOwners.cmo is proud to announce the Monthly MB video contest! All submissions need to take place on our submission forum so only registered members can enter. Winners will be chosen monthly by the admin here (me) and will receive and MB Care Package which could include stickers, hats, t-shirts... who knows! The winning videos will also be posted here AND on the MB Sports website!

Requirements are as follows:



1:00 - 2:00 in Length
Must show MB Boat in video
Ideally show families / friends using MB
Can be hanging, wakeboarding, surfing, skiing, tubing.. whatever
NO SWEARING - in voice or music
Any music needs to be legal or original music
Must be already edited in .Mov, .mp4, .avi
Dealdline is 12:00pm on the 15th of every month
Winner will be posted on the 1st of the following month
Winners Video will be posted on both sites
Winner will receive an MB care package

edit it down to 1:00 - 2:00 and I don't see why not.

OK, go ahead and delete that one I guess.

This will be a good exercise, as I have about 10 hrs of footage from last summer that I have not edited yet....stay tuned.

Getting a headstart on the competition - besides what else could you need from a MB Care Package?

If i win a contest, I will donate my winnings to the next person that buys a boat from me.

Thats an acceptable answer Maybe Ian could actually sell some of the care packages for those of us not able to drive and film at the same time

I'll see what I can do. the only hats I have are OIB hats, which I'll throw one of those in if you win too (if you want one)

Legal music? Meaning I can't use copyrighted songs?

right because then MB can't put it on their site. I think there is a website where you can find music that you can use.

Cool, but doesn't look like an MB, and the Malibu banner at fron and back probably wouldn't be appreciated by MB Sports

I thought the malibu stuff was artistic license . . . and if you got your movie past the censors then my 6 minute masterpiece with copyrighted soundtrack could be submitted.

I guess i should remake mine and just shut the hell up . . .

Not a clue.

If you ever want a high res version of that video let me know I can throw it on my FTP site or make you a disc. It was shot in 720p and looks great before youtube got a hold of it.

The main issue with your entry is that it doesn't show the MB boat in the video. These videos need to focus on the boats as well as the activities associated with them.

i would happily make hours of videos if I didn't have to use original music. A good song makes it possible for me to endure the hours of time spent downloading and editing . . .

Does showing the boat mean showing the the whole boat? MB Logo? Tomcat logo?
