  1. Yes I can relate, my shaft broke right inside hub on taper/keyway section bolted to the tranny on my 2014 F21 249 hrs, which was just 2 hrs on the water after a full service when I was just cruising at 20. Got a tow back to base, lucky I had the PSS with collar as this stopped my shaft pulling out. I investigated and found the design fault on forum. My dealer replaced shaft (covered by MB) and upgraded engine mount bushes (Indmar accepted fault, and dealer was pursuing cost to replace from them) after I wrote a very detailed complaint about this design fault. GOOD LUCK
  2. I feel your pain. I just broke my shaft on my 2014 F21 Tomcat 250hrs exactly the same as yours, while I was just cruising on my first day out (Dec 3rd) when I picked up boat after full service ?? at the start of our OZ summer. I was about 20klm's from base and had to get towed by a WAKESETTER!! (not a good look). My shaft also showed it had been cracked for a while and was just hanging on. Now I know why I was getting some previous vibration. My dealer is replacing and aligning a new shaft and I will be raising the identified Indmar soft mounts with them, to try redirect/offset the cost. This seems to be a common problem and I also read where MB have covered some under warranty, something I asked my dealer to check into when I dropped it off. Hopefully pick up and have boat back on water for test Dec 10th.
  3. I see the installation pics now, thanks.
  4. Yes that's the model ladder I've been looking at, appreciate some pics of installation when you get a chance. Also good to hear that it doesn't cause drag or wake issues. I will also try the ballast fill option and see how that works. I've noticed that Malibu seem to be making this a standard on late models, MXZ has a front ladder built in. cheers, thanks all
  5. Getting ready for our Aussie summer and I,ve been thinking of trying to install a 3 or 4 step telescopic boarding ladder under the rear deck as some swimmers have a hard time pulling themselves back up onto deck from the water. Has anyone done this, like to see some pics of installation if you have them.
