The originals are plastic...the newer ones are aluminum.

I know I got a different boat...but removing it was pretty easy. Putting it all back together and getting it all to line up properly was a CHORE. I got mine tinted at the same time and with the tinting and the powder coating it added just enough of a difference to make it quite a PITA. The center opening section still isn't quite right, out of alignment just slightly leaving a gap at the bottom. ( can only see it from the inside, so depending on your level of OCDness might be ok.) Def. a winter project, although having the trim/insert rubber that holds the glass in were a little easier when warmer.

Crazy looking tower on it though.

^^^^It's just an aesthetic thing for pics....cant have a washed out wake pic....all the peeps will give you hell on these forums....that would be just ASKING for all the negativity comments. But I agree shawn, not many slow speed beginners need a clean wake they're doing well to just ride, and are usually SCARED to go outside the wake anyway.

I'm thinking the CEO (wifey) might have a slight issue with me even THINKING about another boat. BUT.....one can always dream right? Next year I'm REALLY hoping another trip to the Boat SHow might change her mind. We went a few years back and I ALMOST had her talked into it, but at the time we already had 2 boats and the KINDA local dealer was basically trying to steal them from me so it really soured the entire experience for her. I posted about it on WW, and they almost all told me its WAY better to privately sell so thats what i did, but we still got the old Cali. Not a big fan of all the touchscreen/electronics on the new ones so looking for simple and reliable. I also have an issue with starting over as far as stereo and crap is concerned. I FINALLY got the REV 10's and JL inboat stuff so I'd hate to go backwards. Another reason I really like Midnights boat.....would LOVE the 410"s.

Didn't you guys decide gosurf works better on the flatter bottom hulls? I might be interested in it as well. What kind of price we talking about?

There was a thread talking about this on wakeworld too. My initial thought was that the bigger boards would suck on landings too. But those guys seem to be saying good things about the bigger boards esp the lower drag. I had all but stopped wakeboarding because its just too tiring and not nearly the fun when taking rough landings ( im 45 ). SO I have been watching the comments, might look at getting one.

There are pics of the courson racks on wakeworld with them under a bimini. I agree, with a lot of the posts above. And i'd like to add a few things. If you have kids and they enjoy the water theyll bring their kids and youll ALWAYS have memories and things to talk about and do as a family. Yes these things cost money but in the end its well worth it to most of us that have boats....even an old crappy 2002 like mine is still a blast.

Hey Hypper......did you reuse the black rubber/plastic insert that hides the screws at the bottom? I did the same thing over the winter but my boat is a 2002 and that plastic/rubber inserts was quite faded and chalky looking. If you replaced it with new, where did you get it?

I think we have a few more weekends here. Although it seems like mother nature is against us. Mid 70's during the week and sunny. Weekends have been low 60's and over cast.
